Lexi grew up out east in Pennslyvania. She took her first turns on a small mountain in West Virginia at an age too young to remember. The mountains called her to Vermont where she went to college for a B.A. in environmental science.

Quickly her thirst for more snow and bigger landscapes sent her to Utah for a few winters and finally to the San Juan Mountains that she now calls home. Currently, Lexi works for Basecamp Ouray year round as the operations director but has started pushing towards more snowy endeavors for the winter.

Lexi holds her Professional Level 1 certification. In her free time she can be found in the mountains whether on skis, in crampons with ice tools or in rock climbing shoes. Recovery days always include coffee at a local shop! 

This will be Lexi's first winter with Silverton Avalanche School. She is stoked for the opportunity to intern with this incredible company and to begin expanding her roots deeper with SAS.
